Mappers
Action Areas: Human rights, peace and non-violence

What is the Mappers program?
The Mappers project is a participatory mapping journey that brought together the voices of 195 young people aged 13-18 years old in 4 areas of the Regional Unit of Larissa.

Young people in the areas where the project was implemented were asked to map their positive experiences and challenges regarding the available public spaces that promote their cultural and recreational participation.
Public Spaces
Public spaces shape the social cohesion of a community and constitute meeting places, facilitating, among other things, the cultural and recreational empowerment of citizens. In addition, they serve as a context for interaction and exchange of ideas, with benefits for physical and mental health.
Participatory Mapping with Youth
Participatory mapping with youth is a youth-friendly process, which engages young people in a condition of assessing their communities, to search for available resources, to discover their needs and opportunities for participation. In this way, a comprehensive assessment of what a community can offer can be achieved.
