It all started with Panos and Aris, whose lively discussions with friends and colleagues sparked an exciting idea: a mobile organization dedicated to creating inclusive spaces. These spaces would empower children and youth to share their ideas, take action on the issues that matter to them, and leave a positive impact on their communities.
Giannitsa became the starting point for our first community project! It was a vibrant collaboration where we connected with community actors and transformed storytelling into a powerful tool for inclusive action. This milestone marked the beginning of our journey towards social transformation.
We turned ambition into action. With sharpened plans and a growing network, we pitched our vision to foundations and companies. Performance art became our vehicle to deepen children’s understanding of social issues, and thanks to the support of Piraeus Bank Group Cultural Foundation, Purina (Nestle), and the Cultural Organization G. Axiotis, we reached thousands of children and hundreds of schools across Greece.
We zoomed in on the needs of children and youth. Through detailed mapping and deep reflection, we crafted a project submitted to the Ministry of Culture and secured funding. Hundreds of young people joined us on this journey, exploring their communities in Larissa, Tyrnavos, Elassona, and Ampelonas, while uncovering the stories and challenges within.
The Regional Unit of Larissa became our hub of action. Armed with insights from mapping, we teamed up with local institutions and schools to tackle social issues through the transformative power of performing arts. At the same time, our weekly sessions with Marilena and Irene laid the groundwork for a sustainable future, brick by thoughtful brick.
In 2025, Paramythadiko, our first service, was created, with the aim of emerging and publicly highlighting children's perspectives on the environment, peace and non-violence, and human rights in their place. Through mobile libraries and participatory workshops, the foundations were laid for an open space where children's voices are heard, documented, and disseminated in the community.
