Action Areas: Human Rights, Peace and Non-Violence

Description
This interactive programme focuses on the issues of responsible stewardship and the links between people and animals. 

Through performing arts initiatives and participatory methodologies, children were engaged, encouraged and empowered to participate in a process of social change in their communities. 

The project was implemented in schools in Attica and in 2 actions dedicated to the adoption of stray pets The Westin Resort Hotel, Costa Navarino, Ellinikon Experience Park, with the support of PURINA.
Objectives
A) Raising the awareness of the reference group on the following topics (in terms of the field of knowledge): 
1. Responsible adoption 
2. Relationship between pets and humans 

B) Experiential involvement so that (as regards the theatre pedagogy and the teaching process) the students: 
1. To engage in dialogue 
2. to engage in dialogue
3. to engage in dialogue; 
4. to decide collectively 
5. to cooperate  
6. to stimulate self-confidence and self-esteem 
7. to cultivate critical thinking and decision-making skills 
8. to be able to perceive which knowledge is consolidated and how through this they arrive at new concepts (metacognitive objective) 

C) Recycling - Zero Waste props and objects with a purpose : 
1. Raising awareness of climate crisis and sustainability issues. 

D) Inclusive dramatic techniques: 
1. Raising awareness on inclusion. 
2. Cultivating an inclusive audience.
